HGFA Powered Paragliding Certificate.
This course is the most direct route people have in Australia to fly motorised paragliders. The Motorised Paragliding certificate provides a pathway for people who want to strap on a paramotor and take to the skies without the need to accumulate 20 hours ridge soaring. The course gives you a thorough understanding of paraglider ground and inflight control before the motor is used to launch you into this very exciting sport.
Our offer of the $2200 package is our way of discounting 10 days of training, which we would normally sell for $2600. Each day consists of 2 x 3 hour session. This equates to under $37 per hour.
Poliglide's Andrew Polidano and Cedar Anderson are in conjunction with the HGFA and the motorised community in Australia, developing a new standard for powered paragliding instruction in Australia. As the course is under development, it is currently only available through Poliglide. Poliglide's two lead instructors are the most experienced team in Australia that can lead you though your motorised training. They have a personal passion for the sport which makes learning from them such a pleasure. Unlike many schools offering endorcments Andrew and Cedar own their own equipment. They are both licenced and capable through the HGFA to do public displays and performances which is testament to their high level commitment to the sport. It's this commitment to the sport that has given birth to the new Powered Paragliding Certificate. The market demands in Australia coupled with the geographical placement of people wanting to take up motorised paragliding was also a key motivator to develop the syllabus. Without doubt enormous work done by Graham Sutherland, a part time instructor with Poliglide, as well as Dr Jeff Hoffman, Jos Weemas , Andrew Shipley and Rick Clark have made this pathway possible
Please be aware that some schools are claiming many years of Motorised training experience. This alludes you to believe they are experts at paramotoring. They in fact DO NOT refer to Paramotoring training at all. We ask you see some evidence they can actually paramotor at all before you sign up!
There are no short cuts involved in our training methods. It is specialised and focused on the art of motorised paragliding. We are developing a program that in endorced by the HGFA board and the General Manager.
We urge you to consult us on equipment before you get stuck with the wrong stuff. Unfortunately the internet is full of many fancy web sites from people that are claiming to 'know' much about the sport. Many people have come to us with the wrong motors they got 'cheap'. It is a sad reality of today. Remember if it's too good to be a true it probably is. There are few instructors in Australia that actually own there own gear and have skills to pass on to you. To limit yourself to such an establishment would infact limit your potential as a pilot.
We offer a standard 12 months warrenty on our new motor range and can offer 3 month warrenty on selected second hand equipment. We also stock most common parts. As an example, on the new Fresh Breeze sportex model we have in stock a spare frame and full single and double ring cage as well as a spare siminini motor and pistons.. The backing we get from 9 years continued dealing with the largest Paramotor company in the world helps us offer you the best service in the industry.
We are proud to continually recieved referals from many of the largest free flying schools in Australia as well as pilots from round the country that know we can fly. Without question the team of Andrew Polidano and Cedar Anderson is the choice to make if what you wish to do is enjoy motorised paragliding. We would love to hear from you.
Here we have a clip of Nic Huges after he lands in the Snap 120. Our light weight 100cc motor powerful enough to get Nic 105 kgs off the ground is ideal conditions. Nic is an aircraft engineer whom values performance and innovation... Nic's father Howard Huges built the first Australian commercially available paramotor in the 80's..but this is the first time Nic got to fly! He's a happy boy.
